Remembering my boy

Starlord

Eleven years with him
His story
His story

My orange and white boy

Starlord was my orange and white cat, and I was unapologetically a cat daddy. He came to me through a friend of my mom's — a feral cat living in her neighborhood. She caught him, got him to the vet, and I picked him up on March 9, 2015. They told us he was between one and two years old.

He'd already had a hard first chapter. An abscess had to come out, and there are pictures of him in the cone while he healed. After that, he snuggled with me every morning. Friendly, always nearby. Sometimes he wandered through the cat cam when I streamed. You can still catch him in old YouTube VODs, and he lives on as a Twitch emote.

God blessed us with eleven wonderful years. On Sunday evening, March 15, 2026, the seizures wouldn't let up, and it was time to lay him to rest. I can't wait to see him in Heaven. I hope he keeps Jesus's lap warm while he waits. Until then, this page is for the life he lived — the love, the ridiculous poses, the windows he looked through, the allergies he survived, and the way he filled our house and my heart.

Starlord remembered

Until we meet again in Heaven

He was cremated on March 16, 2026. The paw print, the bottles of fur, the years of photos — they stay here. I believe the rest of him is already waiting for me in Heaven.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. — Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
